Yup, it was scary at first but I took a deep breath and took them apart. But I must admit that I don't do this on a regular basis!

This is a scary thing to do, i.e. dismantling and reassembling Felco secateurs, which are the best and last longest. I also lost the key to tighten up the parts. So reluctantly, I gave one pair of secateurs to a worthy handiman to fix. I have three pairs, which I have fixed and tightened myself, but this one pair tried my patience and I await its repair.

Lorraine,
Terrific site. Although, I fear if I took my clippers apart, they'd never be reassembled. Putting all my tools together in one basket where I can find them in early spring is the best advice. It really gives me a lift when I've got so much gardening ahead of me to put my hand on my trusty tool basket and see all my old friends ready for action.
