JoS_269x178With the wicked winter weather we’ve been experiencing, the annual Get the Jump on Spring event at the Toronto Botanical Garden will be a very welcome sign of spring! This year’s event is packed with some terrific talks, demonstrations and even a floral design competition. That’s in addition to free gardening advice from the Toronto Master Gardeners, a tour of the gardens (if it ever stops snowing!), a Farmer’s Market and used book sale.

You’ll also get a chance to meet author Miriam Goldberger of Wildflower Farm who is very excited about launching her book, Taming Wildflowers. She’ll the available to sign books and chat about her favourite subject.

  1. That’s 2 clever by half and 2×2 clever 4 me. Thanks!

  2. I’m not a parent, but I was a child once. I have to agree with you 110% on this. I grew up in one of those little neighborhoods where a kid on foot or on a bicycle couldn’t make one wrong move without it getting back home at the speed of sound. The pendulum has swung far too far in the other direction. Yes, there is such a thing as child abuse, but that’s not what most parents, or adults, practice.
