Grounded in Toronto after a getaway trip to Florida, I’m already looking for another way to get me through the winter. So, here’s number two:

2. Spend your Christmas gift certificates. I was lucky enough to land two gift certificates to my favourite gardening emporia — Lee Valley Tools and Gardenimport. Several dog-eared pages mark my picks for the upcoming season, including more plant stakes and a water wand from Lee Valley and from Gardenimport, Hakonechloa ‘Nicholas’, Helleborus Ashwood ‘Double White’, Clematis ‘Guernsey Cream’, ‘Dimension’ LA hybrid lily and I’m still looking…

How do you get through the winter? Post your favourite passtimes.

  1. Those are very yummy plants. Can’t wait for spring. Am working on a slide show about spring that I’ll post on my site when it’s finished.

    Cheers, Yvonne

  2. Yes, Dugald always has a catalogue full of tempting plants!
